Kansai: Sounds & Effects — be there or be a funny shape

The Society of Writers, Editors and Translators has announced the venue for their Kansai: Sounds & Effects reading event on October 6th.

image loadingJared Angel, Suzanne Kamata, Rebecca Owen and I will be reading at Planet Earth Café in Motomachi, Kobe.

Before the announcement of the venue I was a bit worried about what kind of place we would be meeting at an would I be able to get a drink. Close scrutiny of Planet Earth’s site turned up the word ‘bar’, so I don’t have to embarrass myself on the night by being unable to form words.

I said in my original post below that I was feeling very self conscious. I fear my squib of a comedy is going to seem a bit silly compared to the real literature offered by Jared, Suzanne and Rebecca.

The bar, then, will be doubly useful.

Directions to Planet Earth and all the other details of Kansai: Sounds & Effects are on SWET’s event page. There is also a Facebook page for the reading.
